Reconfigurable operating system for reconfigurable computing has been a novel hot topic in last few years as it can bring higher performance and programmable ability. The online communication is the critical part of the reconfigurable operation systems. For this reason, the thesis presents an enhanced network on chip communication frame, and in-depth study on the task online communication on the basis of this model. This thesis consists of the following parts.First of all, existent reconfigurable computing platforms are analyzed and Enhanced Network-on-chip (ENoC) architecture is presented, on the basis of which routing algorithms are researched. The fault-tolerant wormhole routing technology based on e-cube is designed to support real-time communication under time-variant architecture.Then, the router in ENoC is implemented, combined integrated circuit switch and wormhole switch. The wormhole technique establishes proper physical channel for circuit switch to enhance bandwidth utility rate in network.Next, network interface between processors and routing nodes is designed according to AMBA-AHB standard protocol, which covers network interface function and make it convenient for system and processor integration.At last, the function is testified on the RTL level and after the synthesis under 0.13um process of SMIC Corp., the system frequency of routing nodes with five 32-bit input-output ports achieves 100 MHz and the bandwidth is 16Gbps, which proves ENoC to be an excellent architecture for high-throughput computing.
