Bluetooth is an international wireless communication technology within a limited range, it is intended to establish a general radio air interface between immobility and mobile communication products, and mainly used in wireless personal area network. It allows secure, two-way audio or data streaming between Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth devices send data and voice in a clean, clear, digital format up to 10 meters. The low-power design of Bluetooth transmission systems minimizes battery consumption for protable devices. Now, with the development of this technology, the Bluetooth has been used widely. The purpose of the project is trying to combine hearing aids with Bluetooth technology. It is a new area both for Bluetooth and hearing aids to evolve.In this thesis, we study the structure and function of the hearing aids, analyse the main parameters and give the overall design of the device at the same time. By introducing the structure of Bluetooth core specifications stack and the implementation of protocol in detail, with the request of the hearing aids, determine the main profile of Bluetooth which can be used in this project, and discusses the profile about audio especially. As used in hearing aids, we also give more attention to security.By comparison, we decide the CSR's BlueCore3-Multimedia as our chip which will be used in the device. The hardware circuit is designed according to the BlueCore3-Multimedia, and the widget which will be used in the design is selected. With the help of BlueLab package and kits, we achieve the transmission of audio.
