H Embedded Streaming Media Project Quality And Schedule Management

Taking theories of Project Management, CMM, ISO9000 as the toll, this paper analyses the problems of embedded system project management operating in H Company. Based on the above four theories, and cited in the project management process into the PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) chart the progress of Web-based management model, making the project process is in direct state control. In addition, the combined the actual of H company, I refer to domestic and foreign advanced management theory, and build up the parallel development of embedded hardware and software management model, which should be applied in practice. As the result, the H Company's project management goes into a brand new realm.H Company is a research and development of embedded systems Production Company, and the company was through the IS09001 Quality System Certification in August 2003. Although the company has 5 years experience in the promotion of project management, it is still immature, enlightenment state, there are many urgent improvements. H company's project management caused disturbance for three main reasons:First, the organizational structure; Second, the progress management; Third, the development process patterns.Based on the analysis, the author points out the project management in embedded systems rely solely on ISO9000, CMM is not enough. It needs to integrate project management, CMM, ISO9001 and other relevant theoretical knowledge. First, the transformation of the H Company's project organization, so that functions of the H Company's project management style from the matrix was changed. Secondly, the introduction of PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) project schedule management method of project evaluation to assess and monitor, making the actual management of the more relevant. Finally, we propose parallel development of embedded software and hardware development management. The project can achieve effective parallel software and hardware development, thus shortening the project cycle and improving product quality.After improving the H Company's project management, Project data indicate that progress of the project ahead of schedule 18.9% (i.e.60/320=18.9%) completed. Product design has also been effective in improving quality, customer complaints than the historical rate over the same period decreased by 25%. Product cost accounting has been within the scope of cost control.
