Yongping Copper Mine is the backbone of Jiangxi Copper Corporation, currently, it being implemented the "Open-pit mining to Underground Mining project" in order to change it to be the new type of Mine, which means from opencast mining only to opencast mining together with pit mining. A great number of new equipment, system and technology applied to corporation production and operation, In this condition, many new challenges will be met from the equipment management.Since modern information technology developed rapidly, we can take use of the adventages of computer, such as its fast computing speed, large capacity storage of information, strong ability in processing logic problem and powerful functions, to develop the equipment management system. The system can realise the management scientification, systematization and standardization of the equipment management, and make whole, networked management and control of the input-output and effective life cycle of the equipment. It can help to reduce the management cost and enhance the utilization and intact rate of the equipment, meanwhile, it also can improve the equipment management level and use effeciency, to make the corporation equipment management to a higher level.On the basis of deep studying of corporation equipment management system, the paper gave a needs analysis for the whole process of equipment managementt, and analyzed the work flow chart of equipment management; meanwhile, it gave an introduction about related technologies of system development, and determined function modules of equipment management system, and specified designed the modulles; furthermore, the paper also designed the database of the equipment management system; and at last, it summarized the system analysis and design work.The system studied in this paper is used VB6.0 and Access 2000 as developing tools, and the sysytem network structure designed in this paper is on the basis of C/S network structure, with features of commonality, openness and flexibility.
