With the development and prevalence of computer technology, the number of the application of computer system is ever increasing, with the assorted supporting facilities on the increase as well, of which computer laboratories have become one of important components. The supporting facilities including power supply, UPS, air-conditioner, fire prevention system, security practices, etc. should insure the proper working of the computer system every now and then. Once problems exist, the proper working of the system will be affected with the data transmit, storage and reliability of the system threatened. Even worse, if the serious problems can't be resolved in time, the hardware will be damaged, which inevitably will lead to serious consequences.Since the supporting facilities of the laboratories play such a dominant role in the proper working of the computer system, the article intends to carry out a study of the status quo of the monitoring technology of the environment of the laboratories, based on the detected exsiting problems and the author's understanding of the monitoring technology, then put forward certain solutions to the key problems of technology, and finally bring about the accomplishment of such designs. Hence, the article proceeds as follows:Firstly, carry out a study of the status quo of the monitoring technology of the environment of the computer laboratories and analyze the existing problems; set a goal to device the new system; make a brief introduction to the key technology concerning environment monitoring, the whole structure of the system(the hardware and software system), and the software architecture and deployment.Finally, emphasis is put on the realization of the system design concerning the accomplishment of monitorings of humiture, leakage, UPS, precision air conditioning unit, electric supply, access control, network, host machines, etc., and management function, with the help of the flowcharts and pseudocode visually demonstrating the means and ideas of implementation.Hence, the labolatory environment monitoring system is perfected.
