With the great development of Network Technology and Multimedia Technology,the network teaching, which is a kind of complement of traditional teaching mode, has already become the modern popular teaching mode. Network-based multimedia teaching has incomparable superiority, and its wider use will further promote the improvement of the quality of teaching and the progress of human's civilization.We installed some trial or supplied multimedia teaching system software on parts of our computers, but the results of the software were not good. Weak in high reliability and the show of screen image, longer delay time, and they can not obtain or must pass the modify of the client's settings to get the video player screen and many other issues. In order to meet the computer teaching needs of Sanmenxia City Finance School and improve the traditional multi-media network teaching system, I design and implement the multi-media teaching system which based on the high speed local area network in this paper.I use the latest DirectX10 technology sys to implement this system. To deal with the screen image information, we find the changed area first, then compress and transfer the data of the changed area. Compared to the traditional way, which transfers the entire screen image, this way we used reduces the network load effectively and increases the efficiency of transmission. To deal with the mouse information, we separate it from the screen image and transfer it with a mixed method that includes semantic compress and image compress, thus its movement has the better continuity. We use the UDP multicast to pass Data, file and control commands to the client efficiently. We can not only transfer several files, but also can transfer file folders. Moreover, we provide remote control counseling, educational broadcasting and other useful teaching aids functions.The study result of this paper is that we obtain the network multimedia teaching system, which is more effective for capturing screen, higher speed for compressing, and shorter time on postpone and more stable . This multimedia teaching system meets our needs very well.
