'Wireless sensor networks'(WSN) is an emerging technology which combines sensor technology, communication technology, micro-electromechanical systems and computer technology. By a large number of sensor nodes forming a self-organizing network, it is capable of gathering environment data, information, carrying out integration processing and transmitting to the observer through the use of multi-hop routing wireless. In the industrial automation, environmental monitoring, medical care and the military field, wireless sensor networks have broad application prospects. Building monitoring is an important component of intelligent building. It uses the network to integrate water, heating, security and other systems, improving work efficiency by unified management. Traditional building monitoring uses bus control, which is complicated. Building Monitoring and Control in the introduction of wireless sensor networks will make the system work more efficiently, node deployment of convenient, and advantage of wireless overcome the disadvantages of wired way.Building monitoring platform makes use of Zigbee technology with low-power design idea in principle. Hardware platform adopts CC2430 as core, integrated with a temperature and humidity sensor, a smoke sensor and an infrared sensor. Node is of compact size and its power supply is flexible. Wireless Zigbee technology allows hardware node monitors the temperature and humidity of the room, and reports the occurrence of fires and someone's broke into room. Node software bases on Z-Stack protocol stack, with a detailed analysis of the routing mechanism and task management workflow. Design and program is completed of user tasks, including periodic messaging, real-time alarm information to send, fire fighting and other control interface. The frame format is designed to communicate with the host computer.Upper management software is completed by is completed by With Delphi and SQL Server. The entire Zigbee network node information can be gathered from the serial port of PC. Real-time monitoring of network topology and the temperature, humidity, fire and security alarm are clearly presented. Historical data can be stored in the database to view by both textual and curve way at any time.Through joint test of whole platform, it can be seen all the nodes form a network quickly, monitoring response in time, data storage functions well and stable working time meets the requirements. The building monitoring system achieves the desired outcomes.
