With the development of Web technology and the sharp increase of the demand of modern management, the MIS (Management Information System) based on C/S (Client/Server) can't accommodate the high speed and wide application of data operation and data processing. The enterprise management information system based on B/S (Browser/Server) has become popular. It is easy to develop. Such as the difficulty to reuse the code and recombine the system. So, we study and exploit the plant management information system based on B/S in this paper. This paper combines with the actual demand of plant management and designs the plant management information system based on Web. The paper includes the theory of plant management, the integration of plant management information system and the existing systems in enterprise, the vital question of system development and the design and realization of system. Against the basic information scattered, isolated, lagged and closed state of plant, personnel, parts and finance in enterprise management, the thesis makes use of XML middleware technologies to integrate the data and reduce data inconsistencies. Based enterprise cost management and financial management, the project improves the plant costing calculation method and applies it to the system design to achieve accurate cost account. The paper regulates the encoding of plants and the spare parts. The application of the system improves the plant management level of enterprises remarkably, enhances the competitiveness of enterprises effectively. We use .Net as the development platform and Oracle 9i as the database management system to build up the Plant Management Information System.
