"Mr. Zhengtang's Bibliography", compiled by Zhou Zhongfu, features profound observations and just commentaries on books. This book attaches so much importance both to the textual research and tapping its connotations that it represents the academic features between Emperor Chien-lung's reign (1736-1799) and Emperor Jia Qing's reign (1796-1820). Boasting major academic significance regarding bibliography, colophon and pseudograph, the core of its bibliography lies in the scientific arrangement of layout accompanied by its brilliant observations on books. Meanwhile "Mr. Zhengtang's Bibliography" includes extensive versions of books, amounting to 4762 volumes. The summary on features of books, process of printing, prefaces and postscript included render sizeable assistance in academic research by offering solid proof on distinguishing counterfeits from genuine ones. It was no exception with Mr. Zheng Tang to attach importance on pseudograph.
