The issues about working and employment have becoming the social hot spot in the recent ten years. Including the government, social members and mass media have focus on it, especially in the year of suffering the financial crisis. How to solve the problem is directly connected to the social harmony and stability. The study of working and employment issues has a strong influence on both audience research and the government's decision-making. And it has a more practical significance on the developing of media itself. So how the issues are reflected in the mass media? How the mass media is played its role as a bridge Unicom people and the government? What's the content and presentation of the reporting? What kind of elements could affect those reporting? All of the questions will be discussed in this study.The research focuses on the newspaper reporting about the working and employment issues. By sampling statistics and analysis the reporting from the China Youth Daily (the year 1999 to 2008), the study is analysis the reporting in content analysis and frame analysis. According to the reporting text, the study analysis the diachronic evolution of the reporting pattern. Besides by the way of frame analysis, it studied the reporting about different group members, such as university graduates, laid-off workers, migrant workers, obtained its own characteristics and framework, as well as the change of the frame.The most prominent feature of this paper is to do a full range of the working and employment reporting in China Youth Daily by the content analysis and frame analysis. The reporting about the graduate students experienced the careers choosing-employment-job hunting process. The reporting about laid-off workers is focused on the performance of the government. The reporting about migrant workers is mainly reflected in the problems raised in the employment report. And the paper also analysis the reasons of the frame. Comparing the media frame and government's policy frame, the fits of it may have a reference for the future report. Meanwhile, it's a conclusion about reporting in the news paper, which is including conditions and problems.
