Designing And Implementing An Integrated Reporting System For Multiple Financial Application Systems

Within financial corporations, there ' re various financial applications used to accomplish different jobs. And sometimes a report may need data which comes from multiple financial applications. So how to design, create and manage such reports consistently becomes a problem. What' s more, the users also would like to automatically generate and send out some daily reports, which is not practical to implement in every applications separately, too. Based on these requirements, the author designed an integrated reporting system. The purpose is to make report designing more efficiency, reduce the chaos brought by different report type and design mode, and greatly decrease the effort to manage, maintain and print daily reports.This paper mainly discusses about the difficulties along with the solutions while designing and implementing this reporting system. First of all, we will talk about some basis concept about reporting, and then show that how the MVC structure for this system is designed. And after introducing the functionality models, the paper discusses how the system supports Crystal Reports in both pull mode and push mode. At last the paper discuss about how to use AutoSys system to implement reporting schedule, and how to support preset run-time parameters and dynamic parameters and so on.
