Design And Implementation Of Distance Education Management System

Nowadays, as a new way of education, remote education has been prevailed all over the world by means of the internet and satellite, remote education can provide better education resources to the learners, no matter where they are or when they want to start.The purpose of this thesis is to design a web-based remote education system, which consists of such functions as remote teaching, learning and intercommunion, advertising and students-recruitment, based on a careful study of the requirement. Then, according to the need of actual work, we designed and realized an advanced remote education system step by step based on J2EE platform, Windows Media Service and database. Finally we accomplished the application modules of remote education system, including e-learning, examination, interactive communication, students-recruitment, teaching quality control, enrollment and student management and so on, which meet the requirement of the modern radio&television university.The new remote learning system meets the requirement well. It is highly reliable, extendible and easy to use. It can provide flexible interactive platform, and is of great economic value.
