Mode Of Organization Of Information In The Online Community Research

With the development of modern technology and popularity of the Internet, the way of people's living, learning, working and communicating has changed a lot. More and more people use QQ, MSN, E-mail, Blog, BBS and other tools to communicate in the cyberspace, and gradually formed a collection of different networks that based on individual interests and the common information needs, namely, online community. Thus the network has entered the era of community, and the online communities have become more and more popular, and they have gradually become important platforms for users to access, exchange and disseminate information. However, with the rapid development of online communities, the management of the community especially in the aspect of information organization has become increasingly prominent. How to control the flow of information in the online community and make the community resources organized into orderly and optimizing information systems is the major task of online community in the curent.It is also the primary method to resolve the contradiction between the disordered growth of information and the individual needs of ordered information.In this paper, we systematically inquiry the information organization and its models of the online community using literature investigation, questionnaire, comprehensive analysis methods.This topic explores the information management in online community from the perspective of information organization on the basis of relegated research about online community. This thesis includes five chapters:Chapter 1 is introduction, discussing the research background and the significance of the topic, as well as the main contents and methods. Chapter 2 discusses the basic theory of the online community and the information organization, reviewing the main related theories of online community and information organization, and it also analyzes the processes of information organization in the online community. Chapter 3 talks about the investigation and analyze of information organization in the online community. First of all, we discuss the management of information resources of online community. Then we investigate the current status of information organization in online community, and draw a conclusion that it is necessary to strengthen the information organization in online community.Finally, we parse the models of information organization in online community, including the micro-models and the macro-models. The former contains models of file, hypermedia, database and the latter contains models of search engine, community resource guides, subject information portals and digital libraries. And we analyze the shortcomings of these models as well. Chapter 4 constructs an individualized model of information organization in online community. In this chapter, we first propose optimization strategies of the models of information organization in online community. Then we analyze the features and functions that the personalized model should have. And on this basis, we build one. Chapter 5 is the summary of the thesis. It points out the innovation and limitations of the study, and proposes our directions of the future research.The creative results of this study are surveying the online community from the perspective of information organization which opens up a new area of research. On the basis of our investigation, we analyze the models of information organization in online community comprehensively both from the micro aspect and the macro aspect. We pay attention to individual needs of community members as a starting point and propose a program to construct a personalized model of information organization in online community, which has important value for the improvement and optimization of the model of information organization in online community.
