Sixties and seventies of the 20th century, American newspapers once troubled in the TV media's siege.In the eighties of 20th century, "USA Today" set off a wave in the re-design for newspaper. Rely on the further development and effective utilization of press photography, information graphics including other visual elements, American newspapers can get out of the bottleneck then get into the era of visual communication.This paper used it as a lead to go through and reflect the history of American newspapers photojournalism, development status, and then find an outlet for Chinese newspapers in the era of visual communication.
