With the rapid development of the computer science and chip manufacturing technology, the three information technology of data acquisition, processing and transmission help each other forward and promote the digital system development toward large capacity, small size and high-speed. FPGA, with its flexibility, adaptability and reconfigurability makes this trend a reality. Therefore the research of high-speed data acquisition and real-time processing based on the combination of FPGA and ARM is of great significance.Firstly, this paper introduces the current development of data fusion technology. Combined with the research background and objectives of this project, embedded platform program with ARM processor and the FPGA combined to achieve a variety of complex underlying data fusion is proposed. The focus here is the design and implementation of the system which completes high-speed data acquisition and real-time processing of the underlying data. In the design, ARM is the master controller to control the whole system, while FPGA is the coprocessor, mainly to complete the high-speed signal acquisition and real-time processing. Around the ARM and the FPGA core, a detailed analysis of the peripheral circuit functions of each module are given. And based on it, the circuit design of each module is completed. Besides, the system of high-speed data acquisition and real-time processing is implemented on FPGA.In this paper, After debugging and improvement time after time, the accuracy and reliability of the design is verified. And the design satisfies the requirement of high-speed data acquisition and real-time processing, which creates the conditions for the implementation of the system in application specific integrated circuit chip(ASIC).
