Open Numerical Control System Motion Control Card Design And Research

With the development of the technology of numerical control, the open system of numerical control has become an important develop direction now. Motion control board, as an important part of the open system of numerical control, its study and development has also been paid much attention.Now, motion control cards with DSP as the core are becoming the main trend of motion control. They can easily be plugged in PC to combine the information processing capabilities of PC with the motion control capabilities of motion control cards, which have the advantages of powerful information processing capability, strong motion control ability and good openness. Therefore, through deep investigating into motion control technology, a motion control card based on DSP with PCI interface was developed in the thesis.The points of this paper can be summed up as the following four main headings:(1)Based on a thorough analysis of the architecture of commercial motion controllers, the systematic scheme of the motion controller is proposed. The hardware is separated into independent functional modules and the functions of each module are designed.(2)Based on the study on the PCI bus and some important chips, the hardware is designed, including the peripheral circuits of the DSP, motion control circuits, PCI bus interface circuit, input and output circuit of switch signal. It has the characteristics of less elements, simple structure and low cost.(3)It uses WinDriver for the driver design, and introduces the driver design step of the motion control card in detail. This method can greatly reduce the developing time and improve work efficiency. In the part of the software design for the motion control card, it adopts the modularization method for programming the DSP main program, including DSP initialization module and communication with PC module. And with the least deviation algorithm, the motion control card could realize interpolation algorithm designing. the position controlling and speed-up and speed-down controlling is designed in this way.
