Vertical Cylindrical Mirror Bus Test Based On Image Processing Prototype Development

With the development of science and technology, optical devices are widely used in various fields. The demands for device quality is increasing, which makes the precision measurement of optical components be essential for manufacturers. The domestic conventional measurement equipments can't meet current requirements for they are of low precision, large volume and complex operation while the imported equipments are very expensive.All these limits the development of small enterprises seriously. Therefore, it has been a pressing issue to develop an optical precision measurement device of low cost and high efficience.The main task of this paper is to develop a prototype to measure the generatrix perpendicularity of cylindrical mirror. With optical, mechanical, electronic and computational integrated, our system uses FPGA and ARM technology to accomplish image data acquization and preprocess, PC machine to manage the saving, displaying the output of the processing results.To complete the task, the following measures are taken:(1) the system optical structure is designed and the parameters are derived; (2)The hardware platform is designed and set. The function of the platform is also debugged including the image acquisition by the FPGA, data storage, processing and network transmission by ARM; (3) The entire process of image processing is shown by program programmed by MFC; (4) Having got experimental results by studying, modifying, optimizating and transplating the algorithm of image processing (5) Samples are measured, and the results show that the prototype meet the requirements by comparing with the results from imported equipment.
