Acquisition System, Dsp-based Infrared Video Network

The radar's shortcoming in modern warfare is increasingly exposed with the development of military science. For example, radar can be easily interfered by ground wave and Ocean waves when it detects the target which has a low-altitude or sea skimming. The development of modern stealth technology and structure theory also made flight vehicle's stealth technique more and more sophisticated. The traditional early warning, target tracking equipments faces significant challenges. However, the appearance of infrared thermal imaging equipments fills the gap. Infrared rays which have strong penetrating capacity can easily caught the target those have higher temperature after it rubs with the air or have breech flash.The infrared video capture system was designed to get the original data of an infrared video and it's a system which can realize infrared video data lossless transmission. This system can provide high-quality video data and basis for target recognition to infrared target detection and tracking.The main work of this paper is to transmit infrared thermal imaging video data from a personal computer to thermal imager digital video port in a real-time network way. Combined with FPGA "ping-pong cache module", the writer designed an "infrared video capture network-card" which based on DM642, including the design of capture card's software, hardware and the system debugging. The general steps for system debugging was narrated in this paper. It also designed an application interface which is to display and save infrared video data which transmits from thermal imager to personal computer. The video was optimized through debugging systems and met the basic requirements of the project application.
