The modern concept of cultural industry was raised in "Dialectic of Enlightenment" by Horkheimer and Adorno of Frankfurt School in 1947. Since then, with the rapid development of science and technology and the global economy continues to speed up the development process, the cultural industry was spreading in the burgeoning world.The cultural industry is the one responsible for the production and marketing of cultural products with creative ideas as its core. Cultural industry emerges as a promising industry for the sake of its strategic significance,which is worth more concerns.On the one hand, development can be ultimately defined in cultural terms and the flourishing of culture is the highest end of development; on the other hand, the softpower of a country is always attributed to the development of cultural industy.Since reform and opening up, especially 1990's, the cultural industry of Henan Province has been undergoing rapid development. Under the guidance of the provincial government, Henan Daily Newspaper Group, as core part of Henan cultural industry, has made remarkable achievements in media management, media guide, brand-building, market cultivation, industrial-chain expansion etc.In-depth research is conducted on industrialization of Henan Daily Newspaper Group, thus necessary and beneficial proposals are put forwarded on the basis of summarizing and analysing the previous development,which will work as guiding principles for the forthcoming challenges and market competition in the development of cultural industry groups and promotion of leap-forward collectivization.
