With the rapid development and wide application of computer network technology, especially the popularization of Internet applications, computer networks have been applied in every aspect of social life and been changing the work and life of the people. The urban water supply industry provides important service for the people in every city. In order to adapt to the demand for information inquiry of the water supply business and remote payment, current centralized water management system must be upgraded to improve the service of the industry. Based on above demand for water supply industry, an urban water supply management system is designed. The work of this paper focuses on the following aspects:Firstly, based on the deeply understanding of the business of the water supply industry in middle and small cities, by analyzing and synthesizing, abstracting and generalizing to consumer demand, system requirements of city water supply management system is given. Furthermore, the technical support platform to fulfill the system requirements is proposed. The platform is designed with the UML Object-Oriented modeling technology and Java EE platform.Secondly, based on the Java EE platform, the software architecture of the water supplement information management is designed in the Brower/Server mode. Meanwhile, the business logic of the persistence layer, the business layer and the presentation layer of the system is developed. Then the design of system structure, logic model, business model, data model, the Web user interface and the Use Case diagram, Class diagram and Sequence diagram is given in detail.Thirdly, the User information management module, the fee management module, the water price and water scale management module, the business inquiries module, and message service module of the system are implemented under Java EE environment. Specially, the safety concern of the system and how the customer service subsystem is designed are discussed in detail. Finally, the system developed by this paper is deployed and test. Test results show that the system achieved the desired design objectives.The design and implementation of urban water supply management system is useful in improving the service of water supply enterprises and can facilitate the customer inquiry and payment. The value of the system in practical use is considerable.
