Multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction (MCAI) is widely applied to modern education, and it is a great success in the application of computer technology. However, because of its inherent flaws, there are still some problems.The birth of domestic integrableware theory eliminates some limitations of MCAI, but the realization of integrableware is much more difficult than that of MCAI. Therefore, the idea of optimizing MCAI design comes into being based on the integrableware theory, i.e., MCAI integrableware design. Meanwhile, in the field of overseas engineering education, it has a great effect in teaching in the form of computer animation.This thesis constructs the model of the design named MCAI construction system based on integrableware with the help of Unified Modeling Language (UML). The system is divided into three small subsystems with distinct boundaries: resource acquisition subsystem, Micro Teaching Unit (MTU) model construction subsystem and MTU model invocation subsystem. The research on three subsystems is carried out on the different abstract tiers, and from different angles. Moreover, theory and practice of MCAI design described by computer animation based on integrableware are discussed in detail.On the research of the higher abstract tier of system, this thesis states the basic theories of integrableware in the form of UML collaboration diagram, and investigates the system requirements, system targets and the associated system behaviors. Finally, the overall design framework is sketched, and its key technique is nailed down, i.e., Object Linking and Embeding (OLE) technology. This technique is generalized to association technology to fit the design based on integrableware, and is described in the form of UML class diagram.On the research of the lower abstract tier of subsystem, the development and application of resource acquisition subsystem has been mature enough, so only the mainstream commercial software is briefly introduced here. In addition, the automatic analysis on script hasn't been realized, and in this thesis the experience of script analysis is summarized and demonstrated through one example.In the MTU model construction subsystem, the interface is developed on the requirement of the specific association technology, and the MTU modules containing one single unit (knowledge point) by using the resources collected by resource acquisition subsystem and satisfying the interface norm are constructed. For this subsystem, this thesis analyzes the shortcomings of the existing association technology, and greatly ameliorates one kind of the technology with the potential possibility to satisfy the design, and describes the procedure of MTU module construction which can satisfy the interface norm.The functionality of MTU model invocation subsystem depends upon MTU model construction subsystem. Under the same hardware-software condition, and on the basis of the relevant software testing theory in the field of software engineering, the author conducts a comparative experiment on MTU model invocation subsystems containing different modules specified by different kinds of association technology interface norms, assesses the association technology indirectly, and finally arrives at a conclusion that the improved association technology can perfectly meet the needs of MCAI integrableware design. Therefore, teachers who have little professional knowledge about computers can also make the MCAI which includes the high quality animation.
