Professional logistic activities have been regarded by enterprises as an important way to effectively obtain market's competitive edges in an ever-changing environment since the 21st century; and the Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) of enterprises is the key chain of their logistic activities, hence, the general logistic operations of enterprises are tremendously affected by the proper design of the AS/RS.After analyzing the current states of the framework and storage management of H Pharmaceuticals Company's warehouse thoroughly, this essay conducted researches on several aspects including the storage mechanical equipment and parameters, ancillary facilities, management systems and storage management of the AS/RS by integrating modern logistics theories and proposed concrete design ideas.This essay aimed to explore some concrete design and management concerns that modern pharmaceutical enterprises should contemplate during their establishment of the AS/RS through data collection and analyses, framework design proposal's planning and implementation as well as making improvements in the storage management policies of enterprises. Apart from verifying the facility equipment and the parameters of the AS/RS, it also designed the structure and business operations of a storage management system that was based on the RFID techniques and proposed concrete solutions to improve the storage management of H Pharmaceuticals Company. This essay aimed to explore a representative module for the design of AS/RS and implementation of storage management by the Pharmaceuticals industry through researches on the AS/RS of H Pharmaceuticals Company and provided some experiences for references.
