This paper focuses on the research and realization of a submarine sea cable system network integrated management system which is oriented the reduced services management.By studying the construction of the submarine sea cable system and its network management system as well as the core technology it adopt,this paper attempts to add the function of services management to the submarine sea cable system which is based on the fully analysis of the telecommunications management networks theory.As known,the 70%surface of our earth is covered by ocean.Therefore, the large amount of data transmission among the continents relies on the submarine sea cable network.Currently,with more than 90%international telecommunication traffics are running on it,the submarine sea cable network has already become the backbone of the Internet and other telecommunication networks.Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 is such a backbone in the Asia-Pacific region that plays the role of the hub of international communications among the countries and areas in south-east Asia.Thus,the network management system provided with a strong management function is the key fact to keep the backbone smooth working.However,the contradiction that the maintenance mode lags far behind the maintenance demands and the network rapid development has been the most important and difficult work for the maintenance of APCN2.It acts as two problems.One is the lack of management methods after submarine sea cable system interruption.The other is that the development of network management system is more slow than that of the network technology. The paper is working on the research to resolve the above two problems.Fist,the paper introduces the development of the submarine sea cable system at home and abroad and analyzes the network construction and its maintenance specifications.Then,it studies the APCN2 system current status and the Ring Topology;summarizes the network element model;read the self-cure Ring protection scheme which is obeyed the ITU-T G.841 4Fibers MSSPRING Protection Protocol(Trans-Oceanic).Second,the paper studies the basic theory of the conduction of a telecommunications management network TMN.The study covers the stand TMN frame and its 5 layer management model and involves the evolution of China TMN.In order to narrow the gap between the services oriented management demands of carriers and the equipment oriented management system designed by vendors,the plan of designing a services integrated management system base on the common interface CORBA,which is a mainly used.Finally,an example is given for the realization of a submarine sea cable system network integrated management system which is oriented the reduced services management in the last parts of the paper.The original management system is analyzed and its CORBA interface middleware that is called North Bound Interface is especially studied.And then,the system is introduced model by model.
