Recent years,there has been an increasingly louder call for free entry of public cultural facility.Museum is a particular part of public cultural industry and plays great important in cultural development strategy in the new period.How to go with the new stream? How to meet the increasingly growing demand of people? These are key points which are worth thinking deeply about.Elimination of the entry fee is a plan that has been batted back and froth for several years.In 2008,the Chinese Government finally decided to implement a new policy to open the museums and memorial halls free to visitors.Free entry is a brand-new policy in China.Since the new museum policy has been carried out,almost every museum in China faces challenge and problems that they have also taken actions to cope with.In base of on-the-spot investigation and accumulation of materials both at home and abroad,this research paper attempts to sum up all these new problems and to exchange,experience of how to upgrade service after offering free entry.The preface reviews the development process of free entry tendency and presents the main train of thought as well as structure of the paper.
