LCD tiled display system has obvious advantages than existing display systems. Therefore the application need is very large.This paper focuses on LCD tiled display system framework design. The paper's goal is to consolidate advantages of existing systems to form an advanced LCD tiled display system by using state-of-the-art technologies.First, the paper briefly introduces the research background and the significance of this project. Then the paper studies a number of existing systems to understand the progress and the trend of tiled display system. The paper also summarizes the characteristics of existing systems and emphasizes the importance and necessity to build a new system.Second, the paper discusses architecture of tiled display system in depth. Then the paper gives a full explanation of related technologies, including clusters computing, parallel rendering, image acquisition, multi-threading technology, computer network and protocol etc. Especially discusses the application of computer cluter in modern tiled display system.Third, the paper focuses on building a new system. The new system's framework include overall architecture, modules, hardware and software environment. Then the paper describes detailed functionality of various parts, as well as interfaces and messages between them.Fourth, the paper focuses on image acquisition module of new system. We discuss the design and implementation of this module. We also analysis problems we encountered and give solutions for them.Last, the paper makes a summary of the research work and discusses the future work to improve and expand the system.The new system has significant advantages than existing system. Thus the new system will gain an increasing market share and have a bright future.
