The EDA technology, which is closely connected with the electronic technology,microelectronics technology and computer science, can be used indesign electronic product automatically. One important characteristic of the EDA is that the design documents should be completed by the HDL.And it was widely used by electronic designer now.This dissertation is reaserch on a method of how to use FPGA to design a Timer switch control system, and how to replace traditional electrical design with burgeoning EDA parts. The develop period can be short because of the programmable FPGA and the designmethod which is simple and variable. It can also make the Timer switch control system smaller and more functional.Besides the basic functions of Timer switch control system, some new ideas are added concerning about the particularity of this calling. It becomes more transplantable and easier to upgrade by using of the FPGA and Quartus II software and programming with VHDL and Verilog HDL language.Replacing the traditional LED with LCD make the display more flexible and can be displayed according to which is needed and won't be limited by the hardware. Timing flexible timer switch control settings allow more convenient and practical. In the chip, resources permitting,you can not change the hardware structure, through the programming and downloading increases alarm function, calendar function, such as new features make the design more practical value.The main tasks are to design the overall framework of system analysis and research, and to study the system's hardware structure, and focus on the programmable logic device circuit internal function modules of the design method and design implementation, and basically complete the entire timer switch control system function module circuit design.
