Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is self-organized mobile distribute multi-hop wireless network, used in emergency or some temporary occasion, for its strongpoint in quick arrangement and configuration. Ad Hoc network has wide application outlook, while energy is scanty resource since the mobile nodes in it take battery as their energy source, so energy-control has become a critical problem in MANET research. The common energy-control methods mostly adopt some topology-control algorithm between MAC and network layer, to cut down each node's transmit power guaranteeing a connectivity of the whole network. Every two nodes keep a minimum-energy property path after the topology control, while, it is the routing protocol which determines the path to send packets because it is a complicate course to forwarding packets in multi-hop mechanism, so changing only topology cannot ensure the minimum-energy property path used. Every classic routing protocol applying to Ad Hoc network doesn't choose path based on the low energy principle. Therefore it is not feasible to implement the energy control in one layer, design a new energy optimization routing protocol based on a integrative network architecture is necessary. This thesis researches the Ad Hoc network system, present topology-control algorithms and classic routing protocols, by studying a lot of Chinese or English articles. It analyses the feasibility of routing in the controlled topology structure, and proposes a realizable subjoined routing scheme on the low energy principle. By using this subjoined routing scheme, it optimizes the energy of message transmit, reduce the energy consumption, and prolong the live time of a node. This thesis carries out this kind of integrative network architecture in special Ad Hoc network model on emulator platform. The theory and experiment both shows that the optimized architecture preserves the network connectivity, ichnography and power spanner, and improves the energy consumption and the network viability remarkably.
