After Robert Bosch Company had brought out the concept of CAN(Controller Area Network),the communication of automobiles has had a huge innovation.And after more than two decades of development and progress of applications and technology upgrading,CAN bus communication protocol has increasingly become the main way of automobile internal network's communication.Most automobile manufactures have used CAN in their products. But the inconformity of CAN application layer affects the development of CAN and some famous automobile manufactures have their own application layer protocol.Domestic CAN bus communication technology's import and using is comparatively late, and now at its primary step.But as to the bus technology development itself,our research in this area is not that weak.And due to the quick development these lately few years,the gap between us and aboard is shrinking.This paper makes in-depth research of CAN bus communication protocol,and develops the visual testing platform based on it.This platform can carry out CAN bus communication simulation,do real-time monitoring for some kind of practical automobiles.In addition,the software platform offers open roof for users who want to make their own application layer protocol based on CAN and then observe the simulated communication situation.Morever, due to the massive data and high-speed during CAN bus communication,it designs a database to store the real-time data in order to record the experiment results and also for the following research.The subject has also done the CAN to USB hardware interface design.Using the hardware,you can link the visual software platform to the actual automobile communication system then do some monitoring or debugging.Due to insufficient time and the limited experimental conditions,the debugging for the actual automobiles system is only based on the comfort system of Bora of Shanghai Volkswagen Automobile.The experiment results show that the system has a strong practicality and flexibility,and can do data processing for CAN bus communication stably and reliably.The application of CAN although have had great progress in China lately,but compare to other advanced country,it also has a long way to go,because most of cars made in China are still using the traditional means of communication.Therefore,to enhance research and educational investment is one of the most urgent and necessary task.
