Ethernet-based Real-time Communication Monitoring System Realization

With the rapid development of Instant Messenger software (IM), it provides people convinent service. However, it also can be misused for illegitimate information exchange or committing crimes for its anonymity and completely uncontrolled chatting environment.To solve the security problem, in this thesis on the basis of study in Network Monitoring and Protocol Analysis based on Ethernet, we improve the structure of Protocol Analysis system. By analyzing huge number of experimental data, we complete the MSN protocol analysis on text, voice and video. And we design the framework of IM monitoring system with detailed descriptions on the in-depth design and implementation of MSN data collection, TCP data reassemble, MSN protocol resolution, message data restore and topic classification. To achieve the IM monitoring system, we restore the audio stream data with x-msrta codec and propose a topic classification algrithom based on word relationship.Finally, we integrate all theories and technologies, and complete the Instant Messenger monitoring system on Ethernet network, with good performance.
