As the potential requirements of network management(NM) from the enterprise customers are more and more obvious,the telecom product is now developing deeper than before.To release enterprise customers from the control of the NM,network security,and network upgrade and maintenance,and then enable customers to devote themselves to core services,China Telecom provides the "Network Care" service.With this service,China Telecom can implement the integrated management of the customers' network,including monitoring system,managing fault,managing performance, managing configuration,and providing special manager service.The customers then can enjoy the VIP services at the telecom level.This paper describes the concepts of the NM expert system of Jiangsu Telecom,the structure that supports the NM expert system,and the services that the NM expert system can apply to.The paper also analyzes the networking structure of the NM expert system. On the basis of the previous description,the paper conducts the research on different access schemes,including the dedicated line access scheme,MPLS VPN access scheme, and Metropolitan Area Network(MAN) access scheme,and explores the installation method of the adapter,including the installation of virtual server,access of different level customers,and VLAN planning of local switch.In addition,the paper describes the functions that the NM expert system can implement,such as the performance management,traffic management,fault management,and alarm forwarding.With the practical application of the NM expert system in Jiangsu Telecom and the experience of this system in my work,the paper,at last,presents the problems existing on the current network and the suggestions for optimizing the NM expert system.
