With the development of society and living conditions, health and life are more treasured. As an important component of medical field, personal monitoring system undertakes the monitoring of physiological status and automatic alarm in case of emergency. The research of this project has important practical meanings and market value. The background of this project is the design of an ECG monitoring system based on GPSone communication location techniques. Function requirements and construction of the system are analyzed and discussed. The design and realization of wireless communication location controller and DSC are emphatically introduced. The hardware of wireless communication location controller is consisted of ARM MCU LPC2136 as main control chip, including wireless communication location module, signal detection module and power module. The design of hardware includes component selection and circuit design.Hardware driver includes communication location module driver, series port driver and on-off program. Wireless communication location module consists of location, message, voice and wireless data transceiver modules. The functional requirements of DSC in system are briefly analyzed in DSC part of this paper, as well as the realization of basic functions of DSC data receiving program. The problem of port aging and the multi-thread synchronization are solved and the design of database storage table is done. The analysis and storage of data are realized. This paper tests the hardware of wireless communication location controller, driver, DSC data receiving and processing program and coordinate functions respectively. The result of test shows that the modules of the system work well and meet the requirements.
