Nowadays, in the communication activities of human society, various kinds of discourse form, discourse content and discourse action with the hiding authority and ideology are infiltrating into every corner of social life with an unprecedented depth and breath. News discourse has becoming one of the most influential forms of discourse. It imperceptibly influences the people's cognitive framework and constructs an illusion word. With the deepening of the research of the communication, the research of news discourse has becoming an important way and a new perspective to know and understand the communication activities.Taking a wide view of the development of the news discourse research and the rhetoric, we could find that there is a long root between discourse analysis and rhetoric theory. Bring the rhetoric theory and discourse analysis into the same research framework, it would provide a new theoretical perspective for us.In the language practice, rhetoric is supporting exchanges, communication, public relations, advertisement and all kinds of linguistic form, and providing basic conception about oneself and others for people, furthermore, playing an important role in the ensuring normal operation of nation, constructing the mainstream ideology and forming the social core values.The theoretical development of modern rhetoric provides theoretical nutrient for the research of news discourse. Rhetoric is not only a literate skill, bay also an process of achieving some aims by discourse an symbol.News can't get away rhetoric; news discourse is full of various kinds of rhetoric technique and rhetoric action. On the theoretical basis of the new rhetoric , the paper try to study how the rhetoric to play a role in the construction of news discourse , from the perspective of discourse analysis, but also how the operating mechanism of rhetoric is involved in the construction of news discourse.The first chapter summarized the development process of the correlation theory on discourse analysis, grasping the starting point of linguistics and reviewed the research status of news discourse, and hackled news discourse analysis, moreover ,offered theoretical support for this study by using the theoretical results of others for reference.The second chapter discussed the rhetoric theory from the revival of new rhetoric, and defined the concept and the research field of rhetoric in the modern rhetoric. The research showed that rhetoric is an aggregate of effect theory of human speech act.The third chapter mainly discussed the characters of the rhetoric of news discourse.The fourth chapter analyzed the application of rhetoric in the factual construction of news discourse. First of all, the construction of the news discourse is a reconstruction on the recent facts, thus give meanings to the facts.The fifth chapter mainly discussed the application of rhetoric in the ideology construction of news discourse. News discourse is reappeared and constructive. The construction of news discourse almost present as ideology construction. Then it discussed the functions of the rhetoric in the news construction.The sixth chapter briefly summarized the main opinion in this article, and pointed out the factual and theoretical significance of the article. Resulting on the research, we can recognize the strategy for the construction of news discourse. On the other hand, it offered a perspective to recognize the news production mechanism, thus anticipating the hidden ideology.
