Catering industry is an industry consecrated by time, especially in Chinese culture. When we were in a restaurant,"taking orders" might looks very simple apparently, however,it could be a key point of running this particular restaurant.Because the ordering process not only consults the demands of fast and accurate transmissions, but also insures a certain amount of customer experiences. That is what we called "CSO" (custom service orientated). With the expansion of restaurant scale and the increases of young customers volume,a much modern, fashionable and new consumption concept comes into being. This manual system has began to show its insufficiency and dehumanization. In my "customer order information system",it' s not the waiter but the customer who actually uses the system to order. This revolutionary change will increase the interaction between customers and restaurants. The waiter doesn't wait and you don' t have to be a waiter who waits the waiter. It also provides the service which the original system does not have, such as showing detailed descriptions of the cuisine, offering customers to take orders and pay the bill by themselves, even commenting every dish by themselves. The system uses CS model for foreground and BS for background. In the foreground system,I selects windows CE as the operating system. The system also use Hibernate,Struts2 and date mining as the key technologies.Combining the operation of a real restaurant, in the article,I provide a systematic solution to the order system. It introduces the designing and implementation for some key modules. Finally, it pointed out shortcomings of the customer order information system in its application and looked forward to the futurity of it.
