China Unicom, The Inner Mongolia Branch Voip Network Deployment And Optimization

With the rapid development of Data Communication Network Technology and the popularization of Internet.TCP/IP Agreement has played a dominant role in Network Technology.Various kinds of services based on IP Network include the traditional Telecom Voice Service which has become a hot technology and an important trend in current Communication Network Technology.Due to its low price and flexibility,transmitting video message by the way of IP and Packet Switching Network put a severe challenge against the traditional telecom services and a good opportunity for other service poviders as well.China Unicom under such background began to set up IP Public Switch Telephone Network nationwide,and has rapidly covered all the IP PSTN in the country.In 2000,Inner Mongolia Unicom started the establishment of VOIP(voice over IP). After 5 phases of work in the past few years,an efficient,stable and secure network has been successfully formed,including Access Network,Service Network(Gateway Network), Carrying Network,and Network Management System,and Billing Authentication Platform, with a coverage of the whole autonomous region.A lot of problems have emerged with the enlargement of services and exerted great influence on the subscribers.Therefore,the improvement of network is carried out in quality of network and of calling effectiveness.As a result,Inner Mongolia Unicom has gradually built up its reputation in IP telephone network.This paper is intended to discuss the construction program,implementation and improvement of VOIP Network in Inner Mongolia Unicom.
