Network IP trend is one of the biggest trends of network development at telecomoperators in recent years. Driven by this trend, the IP process of mobile network graduallyunfolds. As an important part of the mobile network, the IP process of mobile carryingnetwork is a very important element.As the mainstreaming solution of the current mobile carrying network, IP RAN is basedon the design concept of flexible IP communication and traditional router structure. Withenhanced OAM mechanism, operation protection mechanism and packet clock transmissioncapacity, it is recommended to use automatic routing mechanism of the dynamic controlplane for the services forwarding work. The hardware structure of IP RAN has extensiverouting capability on third layer to support multi-service carrying better and adapt to themultipoint to multipoint communication scenarios existed widespread in the future mobilecommunication network.The traditional base station backhaul network of the mobile operators is built based onTDM/SDH, but with the deployment of3G (3rd Generation, the third generation of digitalcommunication) and LTE (Long Term Evolution of3GPP) and other operations, data servicehas become the main carrier, and the demand for bandwidth of it grows rapidly. Since SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) network uses traditional TDM (Time DivisionMultiplexing),the network expansion model of exclusive pipeline will be difficult of support,the construction of carrying network of IP RAN(Internet Protocol Radio Access Network)has become an irreversible trend.Starting from IP RAN network planning, this paper has defined Jinzhou TelecomCompany IP RAN carrying network construction scheme and built a carrying network tomeet the needs of LTE services relying on IP RAN technology. After completing IP RANnetwork construction of this period, verify the feasibility of IP RAN networking scheme andthe scalability of the network by means of performing the single-machine performanceengineering test on the router devices and engineering test on LTE base station. The regionalnetworking operate stably and the effect is good while meeting the requirements of updatingcarrying network in the future. Meanwhile, in order to meet the requirements of centrallylocate BBU in the future wireless network, IP RAN carrying network has been partiallyoptimized and has proposed the construction scheme of centrally locating IP RAN devices.
