As the rapid development of China's meteorological modernization, the intelligence, number and types of meteorological detecting devices in meteorological department have improved greatly. Therefore, in order to manage and monitor their operational status, to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and reliability of the detection data, and to make full use of these data in the role of meteorological forecast,there is an urgent need for these devices to develop intelligent monitoring and management.Intelligent meteorological technology and equipment information management system of Chengdu (southwest) region is an intensive, networking, and intelligent management platform that is based on Sichuan province and faces to southwest region. It gathers the meteorological detecting devices and the technical support information in the integral whole. And the real-time monitoring and management is used in operating state, technical supporting, verification, material reserving, equipment maintenance, basic information of stations, and some other comprehensive information of the major devices in Chengdu region.Developing the application of monitoring and management technology based on Web is the major system architecture in internet era. As the development of technology of software, database and network, the information age has given new meaning to monitoring and management system. This paper gives the whole process that contains requirement analysis and design, implementation and test of the system. It still focuses on some key technologies of the system, such as Windows service, SMS warning, and SVG statement.The development of intelligent meteorological technology and equipment information management system of Chengdu region uses"three-tier architecture"to isolate data presentation layer, business logic layer and data access layer. It sill uses "B/S" model, increasing real-time performance with windows service technology. SQL Server2000 database platform is chosen to enhance the capability of data processing, too. The system realizes the function of comprehensive information query, statistical analysis, chart demonstration, and report generation of the major meteorological detecting device in Chengdu region. This improves the utilization efficiency of the equipment and the capability of macroscopic management greatly.
