The management of teaching equipment has a very important role in colleges anduniversities teaching activities, but the traditional equipment management has someshortcomings such as low efficiency, big workload, etc. However, how to manage theteaching equipment has become one of the important branch of the current managementwork, In order to adapt to the increasing development trend of equipment type andnumber, and give a comprehensive and detailed solutions to the problems of equipmentmanagement, it is necessary to improve the management efficiency and activelyimprove equipment use value and the equipment utilization rate. At the same time, inorder to provide related data for the management decision analysis to school manager,and promote the intelligent level of the equipment management system in colleges anduniversities, developing a teaching equipment inventory management system that adaptsthe management in colleges and universities has become an important subject to beresolved in front of us.The teaching equipment management system, which based on the computerinformation processing technology, support the teaching equipment management,planning, maintenance, statistical work, and visualization through the information input,sorting, classification and storage. In accordance with the main problems existing in theequipment management in colleges and universities, aimed at the new requirements ofthe teaching equipment management under the new situation, the review and significantof equipment inventory management system in colleges and universities are presentedin this thesis. Using the knowledge of software engineering, from the aspects oftechnical feasibility and the feasibility of management process, the problems existing inthe equipment management in colleges and universities have been analysed in detaill,the functional and non-functional requirements have been resolved, and the actualdemand of equipment management in colleges and universities have been mined,meanwhile, the running environment, type of user for this system have been confirmed.The system was developed based on the requirement of teaching equipmentmanagement in JingDeZhen college, the technology of the three-layer architecture,ASP.NET operation platform, SQL server2012database management system andAJAX technology were proposed. Function modules such as the add, delete, modify of teaching equipment storage, warehouse management, query and management of theusing equipment, abandon equipment which should be declared worthless, andequipment warning were designed and implemented. Then, the reliability for thissystem was tested and validated through the black box testing method.In this thesis, the process of the equipment management was designed in detail, theproposed system could replace the manual jobs automatically, not only for theconvenience and labor saving, but also for the working efficiency. All kinds of tablesand statements for the equipment information could return accurately to user, whichcould help the school management to make reasonable equipment purchase schedule.The system can also be used for the management of other various types of equipmentsin colleges and universities.
