Passive millimeter wave detecting and imaging is a new kind of imaging technology. The wavelength of millimeter-wave is between microwave and infrared. Compared to microwave, millimeter-wave has got a better directivity so that its detecting and imaging system can get a higher resolution. Compared to the infrared, millimeter-wave is less influenced by climatic conditions and can work under all-weather conditions. Recently, passive millimeter-wave radiometers were realized in many areas and became a hot spot in international researches.With the development of computer and communication technology in information age, the embedded technology has approached a remarkable development. The thesis, firstly, relied on a specific research project, adopted the techlonogy of embedded system, R&D the display and control terminal of millimeter radiometer,the concrete research contents summarize as follows:1. Based on the analysis of millimeter-wave radiometer technology, the overall structure and the compositon, the selection of hardware platform, operating system and GUI development environment is done.2. The communication timings and protocols are designed. The relevant device drivers, interface application programs are developed.3. The configuration, compilation, and transplant of Bootloader, Linux kernel, file system to Arm9 hardware platform are done.4. The graphical user interface developed by Qt/Embedded is done. The implementation of the functional flow is designed. The interface background program is developed, and all the system functions are realizsed.
