The dissertation is based on the application of a dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer to remotely sense integrated water vapor and integrated liquid water in the troposphere, and includes research on test methods of the dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer system parameters and performance and analysis of these test results. A two-dimensional servo-control system, which is used to scan the sky in this radiometer system, is designed, and antenna patterns of 8mm band and 13mm band are measured. The sensitivity of the dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer is analyzed and deduced in detail. Radiometer parameters, such as radiometer's linearity, noise coefficient, system anti-interference ability, integrating time constant, are discussed and measured. The principle is presented of remotely sensing integrated water vapor and integrated liquid water in the troposphere with a dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer, and some measurement results are illustrated with test data. The detailed content of the dissertation are as following.Firstly, a two-dimensional servo-control driver circuit, which consists of PC and an embedded system, is designed based on the scanning requirement of the dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer.Secondly, a measurement receiver is designed to measures the 8mm band and 13mm band antenna patterns, The measurement software, based on the two-dimensional servo-control system , is developed and measurement results are analyzed.Thirdly, the sensitivity of the radiometer is deduced in detail according to its working principles. Testing methods and results are also given in the dissertation.Fourthly, some assembly performances and radiometer system performances are tested, and test results are discussed. The test principle and method are given. These experiment consist of A/D and D/A test, radiometer system linearity measurement, system noise coefficient measurement, system integrate time constant measurement, system stability and anti-interference ability, et al.Finally, the principle is introduced of remotely sensing integrated water vapor and integrated liquid water in the troposphere with dual frequency millimeter wave radiometer in detail, and some measurement results are given. The method are discussed to deduce atmospheric brightness temperature combining with data acquired with sounding balloon and to deduce integrated water vapor and integrated liquid water in the troposphere.
