Millimeter-wave wavelength is between microwave wavelength and infrared wavelength. Compared to microwave, millimeter-wave has good directivity and it's detecting and imaging system can have higher resolution. Compared to infrared, millimeter-wave is less influenced by climatic conditions and can operate under all-weather conditions. Recently, with the development of millimeter-wave devices and high speed signal processing technology, millimeter-wave detecting system starts to play an important role in many areas. And that the millimeter radiometer which is dealt with in this paper is an important form of the detecting systems.This paper is developed Relied on a specific research project. The work of the thesis is shown below.1) Based on the introduction of millimeter-wave radiometer technology, the overall structure and the compositon for the 3mm radiometer measurement system is given, and the calibration method for the millimeter radiometer system is presented.2) The real-time wavelet denoising method is researched. A better border processing method based on the length of border extension is proposed aiming at reducing wavelet border distortion; a simple and effective threshold selection method is proposed; the affected border number is deduced based on which a real-time wavelet denoising algorithm is developed which can reach the off-line de-noising effect.3) The Median filtering method is researched. A median-mean switch filter is developed. The wavelet denoising method and the filter are applied in the radiometer system and receive good denoising effects.4) The design and realization of the display and control software.5) The testing of the system and the imaging experiments results are presented.
