Research And Design Of Enum Server - Integration Of Internet And Communications Networks

With the continuous progress of human society,information technology has made rapid advances and has brought a qualitative leap to people's life. In the information industry development process,the biggest achievements are the telephony-based communication network technology invented in the nineteenth century and Internet technologies born in the last century. Now, the two different networks to the human society have brought great changes, and they have become an indispensable part of the society. But the Internet and communication network have been both independent of each other because of various reasons. With the development of today's information society and people's increasing demand, network integration has become the future trend.ENUM technology has been developed from the people's hope that the communication is not bound by networks separation. As the key of network integration of Internet and the communication network, it represents the mean of telephone number mapping. That is, it creates the map relation between the key resource telephone number in communication network and Internet domain name address, and proposed a DNS query program based on this mapping to eliminate the barriers between the Internet and communication network, so ENUM technology achieves mutual contact to promote the integration of the two networks.This thesis first makes a study for ENUM technology, and introduces basic ENUM concept and functions to be achieved. The functions include telephone number mapping, ENUM query and NAPTR resource record process mechanism. And then this thesis describes in detail the role of ENUM technology in network integration. The thesis first introduces the place of ENUM servers in network system, and then describes work process and application in network system of ENUM technology.Moreove, the thesis analyses and compares the network server software sevice model technology. First it introduces common concurrent models, and then analyses the network I/O technology and disk I/O technology. The analysis is very meaningful to design a high performance ENUM server latter. Then, the thesis designs and implements an ENUM server, which should be deplayed in communication network and has a performance requirement. First the thesis introduces the server system architecture. The server has three modules including ENUM query module, ERH external query module and database module. Moreover, the thesis describes the process framework, data model and data flow of the server and then describes each module in detail. In addition, the thesis proposed some possible extended business or functions of ENUM server in future.Finally, the thesis makes a performance analysis for the designed server. And then a performance test verifies the performance requirement of the server.
