With the rapid growth of information, storage method of data experiences revolution one after another. at the latest revolutionary wave, SAN technology stands vertex. SAN's revolution embodied: it brokes the traditional server-centric storage model,and established the new storage model,which is in the middle of storage in a network interconnection structure.It's Application of the concept not only meets the needs of mass data storage, but also meets higher capacity of easy expand, ease operation through some new technology.Resource management software has been an important part for the development of storage technology. Although Traditional resource management software such as web, CLI (Command Line Interface for short) technically are very sophisticated, General aspects such as easy to interoperability,multi-user connectivity,order response time, system security,cross-platform,has reflected to be unsatisfied with function or performance. The main contents of this article based on CLI and web are that configuration management functionality is extended to the host in order to achieve cross-platform, and to reduce the order's response to time.CLI is a command line module which is developed and maintenanced by the author,when the author practice in companies in the eary,and manage the controller resource in controller side.because of market demand for value-added services,including lun copy, virtual snapshots, remote mirroring, split mirroring, CLI has been unable to meet the functional operations and configuration of the service backup simultaneously. Under such circumstances, it is developed to be another command line system: inband command line system which thesis will design and implement. Newly developed the command line in this article constitute the scope of the study. Main contents of thesis is as follows:1. It presents the key technologies of SAN-based storage management system and horizontal comparison of the mainstream storage technology.2. It introduces the whole command-line system of storage management system,including the command-line system's overall composition,related concepts, functions and application examples. It focuses on implementation of the principle of CLI command-line which The author developed in the company long before.3. From the perspective of engineering design, It describes general design and detailed design of inband command-line system,and It focuses on Host Agent of host module and Array Agent of control module.4. applications of inband command line system under multi-platform,and environmental arrangement,and running at a variety of platforms through the concrete steps.It puts forward the lack of inband command-line system, as well as direction to improve, that is also the author's insights and direction for the future after finishing the entire command-line system.5. Inband command line system tests, including test environment, functional testing and performance testing. The studies above are based on command line system And it's implement as a reference model. The model is summed up by author's participation in the development and the practice of storage management system. the system in terms of safety or operational efficiency have been on a very rigorous testing and evaluation and have high practical value and theoretical reference value.
