Design And Implementation Of Universal Testing System

With the development of network technology, internet-based examination has become a trend of the development of examination and it will replace conventional examination based on paper and pencil. The reliable and automation and a large of scale paperless examination system may precise evaluation for the examiner's capabilities, and may be more effective. The reach on Internet-based examination is becoming practically meaningful and will be used widely.In this article, the author analyses the current status of technology and the existing network test system, comparing with each, and provides a B/S structure general network test system. The article introduced the requirements of the system, design and implementation of the system and testing in turn.The system is divided into five modules: the question bank management module, on-line testing module, the test management module, the manager management module. This system has over come the disadvantage of C/S structure and is based on the B/S three tiers architecture of Web application. The main technology used in the system includes ASP, OLE and ActiveX technology. The multi-goals dynamic evaluating functions based on the parameters including test-type, test-content, test-time and test-difficulty are constructed to optimize the Computer-making test paper. And it uses this optimizing strategy of Computer-making test paper. This is the Innovation of this system.The system can enhance formalization and efficiency of a large scale Internet-based examination, and it will be extensively used in all kinds of examinations.
