With the development of science and technology, the people's way of life and work have tremendous changes, and allow the transmission of information more rapid and convenient. The development of broadband communications technology to promote the development of multimedia communication technologies, making streaming media applications become increasingly popular, such as video-on-demand, distance learning, video conferencing,these services greatly enriched the content of people's lives. With the increase in streaming media applications, in order to be able to saved the real-time data and relay to other users, the 8010 lab of University of Electronic Science and Technology of china developmented the source processing system based on the existing streaming media system. The system is divided into two functional modules, including written documents and relay, have the ability to write real-time audio and video data into MP4 files and relay, extend the functionality of existing systems and better provide services for users. Streaming media cache is the source of those two functional modules, responsible for store audio and video data and doing synchronization process. The synchronization of streaming media system is one of the major difficulties. This paper introduces a synchronous scheme based on RTP/RTCP protocol in streaming media system. This scheme using the method of timestamp synchronization and the method of time coordinate synchronization, effectivelyrealized the synchronization of intra-media and inter-media. The contributions of this thesis are mentioned below:(1) Introduction of the streaming media technology, analysis the streaming media protocol, such as SDP/RTP/RTCP, and described the scheme for audio and video synchronization.(2) Elaborated on cache design and implementation. Introduce the Thread control module,Network communication module,Cache structure design,Audio and video synchronization method.(3) Introduction the streaming media source processor system.
