Research On Streaming Media Cache Management Strategt Based On User Characteristics

With the rapid development of network technology and personal computer configuration upgrade, requirements of people streaming media service quality are increased dramatically; streaming media technology based on P2P is the solution to this problem. How to improve the P2P network streaming media system performance and quality of service becomes the hot focus in this research field. Therefore, designing efficient Streaming Media VOD system cache management mechanism based on P2P has effective significance.The combination of P2P technology and Streaming Media improve the development of the VOD technology, it breaks through the limit of the traditional VOD system in bandwidth, load capacity, processing capacity constraints and really achieves the purpose that more people watched video program, the more smooth video program became. Under this background, based on the P2P technology such as various kinds of video on demand system bamboo shoots after a spring rain flood the Internet now, there are more and more sites provide online video on demand function. Although the P2P streaming media technology has been developed very fast, there are still many problems to solve. We will research the cache strategy of the Streaming Media VOD system based on P2P in this paper, and it’s purpose is to design a new replacement strategy from the view user behavior characteristic, in order to make Streaming Media VOD system data cache more scientific and reasonable, the following is the specific achievement of this paper:(1) The P2P Streaming Media VOD system and video playback must be used to garneted the quality of scientific and reasonable cache strategy.(2) Firstly the influence of streaming media service quality factors and cache management concept are introduced after analysis several traditional cache strategy the result is come to the traditional cache policy does not suitable Streaming Media VOD system, finally the strategies of system cache replacement strategy analysis is improved.(3) After review a variety of literature on the user’s play behaviors of statistics, we summarize the corresponding behavior characteristics, and put forward the concept of prevalence data. Then based on the analysis of user behavior characteristics of the caching mechanism, Streaming Media VOD system flow and data block is to be perfected and retention. Finally, a traditional replacement strategy is carried on the analysis, pointed out the problems and put forward new replacement strategies based on supply and demand, the new value and popularity and replacement strategy are proposed in this paper.(4) The subject of the simulation environment is introduced, and then the simulation scene set, and the improved cache replacement strategy is verified, finally the results of the cache replacement policy is compared, with new replacement algorithm, the proposed method of based on supply and demand and popularity of the replacement strategy feasibility improve the performance.
