In the 1990s, china's media was become more competitive. In order to strive for more audience, and achieve a better effect of communication, a variety of specialized media had emerged one after another. A few of communication scholars researched this phenomenon and believed that the massive communication had gradually gone to an era of narrow-casting and focus. The focus media is an inevitable trend and has great effect of promoting for china's media industry. In the perspective of interaction between the media focus and the society, what are the social reasons for the media focus? What's the impact that the media focus brings to society and what can we take actions to promote the development of the media industry. These problems are the major aspects concerned in this paper.This paper will analyze this phenomenon from the formation, a kind of state and the social impact etc and explain the interaction between the media focus and the society. On this basis this paper will press related recommendation and a countermeasure in order to promote the media industry's a more harmonious manner. The paper using the related social theory analyze that the cause of the media focus's emergence is social stratification, media competition, the impact of labor-saving principle. At the same time, the paper revealed that the process of media focus existed varying degrees of bias, and the bias brings a certain impact on society by the analysis of the media focus's sub-sample. Finally this paper press some related recommendation and countermeasures from the media and government.
