This thesis gives some review and analysis to embeded system's current situation and history, putting emphasis on discussion on the hardware'architecture and basic network applied development of HHPPC860-3COM-2ETH-R1 embeded system based on MPC860,which uses MPC860 as its EMPU , this is a motorola's product with apowwerpc kernel which is widely used in communication field.The operating system is linuxppc which is used widely in powerpc MPU,it is altered to adapt itself to the embeded application in communication field, communication interface's research surrounds two-line, four-line serial interfaces, 10M, 100M Ethernet of the systemnetwork .research is mainly about the network connection of 8 bits or 16 bits MCU and MPU,this gives a optional method to seamless transition from current electrical appliance to information electrical appliance in the future.
