In recent years, the VLSI/ULSI (very/ultra large scale integrated circuits) technology has profoundly advanced. Now, more and more features are implemented in one chip which may contain millions of transistors. This advance enables system-on-a-chip (SOC) integration. Meanwhile, fabrication technology moves into nano device size. We can design a single chip with large overall dimension but smaller feature size and wire space. With the technology and frequency moves forward, the signal integration issue shows up and we cannot ignore them any longer. Cross-talk issue is turning to be a critical issue in backend design closure. In this paper, we choose more than 1065nm designs from different famous companies and use Synopsys backend tool IC Compiler as the implementation tool to compare the effect of cross-talk prevention and fixing in each major steps which covers placement, CTS and routing.Based on the experiment result mentioned above, 1 cross-talk prevention and fixing flow is built which will be fit for most of the advanced technology designs with consuming acceptable CPU runtime and memory.
