With the development of the Internet, virtual instruments began to be Internet-oriented. Web-based virtual instrument is one of the applications of realizing remote monitoring networking and building a monitoring and control network of virtual instruments. Browser-and-server-based virtual instrument technology not only expands test system, unifies data collection, processing, transmission and storage, reduces the test cost but also considerably improves the efficiency of the test. This paper utilizing .NET technologies, under LabVIEW developmental environment, builds a test network of web-based virtual instrument, which realizes signal measurement, data storage and waveform display under the browser. The web-based remote control of virtual instruments is the focus of this thesis.Firstly the thesis discusses the characteristics of virtual instruments, the development of the status quo at home and abroad and the concept of virtual instrument networking. Secondly, it analyzes the operating principles of LabVIEW-based remote panel and points out that its redundant data is the main reason of intervening real-time network transmission. Thirdly the paper, therefore, proposes a web-based programming approach, using dynamic data exchange technology to refresh only the differences in the data set. Finally, this thesis discusses how to improve the remote real-time performance of the approach in question and continuous improvements to it.
