As China is located in monsoon of Asia and with large scale in terms of expansion, the climate is changing very frequently and rain related disasters always happen. It caused the great loss of belongings and sometime even the lose of human beings. Especially for those areas with complicated landform and full of trees in the high mountains, the rainfall is not that equally spread. Eg: in a small town there is only 20mm rainfall while in a nearby mountain area there are flood happened with awful result that the field and houses are totally damaged. However there is not so much statistic information about actual rainfall which makes it more difficult for weather bureau to do the flood forecast and prevention.Automatic Rainfall Statistic System is a system which helps to remotely measure, transmit and calculate rainfall related data. It is a consolidated system powered with most updated information of aerography, tele-communication and computer science. The system can help to measure and keep the rainfall related data. Accordingly it will change the current status that the rainfall data can only be manually collected. Accordingly it will greatly improve the accuracy and efficiency. Moreover it can cover wider area, collect much more rainfall data and monitor the rainfall status timely. Thus it can play an important role in terms of flood forecast and prevention.Following content will give you more detail information about how the system works. The information includes GPRS wireless telecommunication technology and overall introduction for the Rainfall Statistic System. The design is based on the current most advanced technology both inside China and outside China for the rainfall statistic and forecast. It includes the hardware and software information for the GPRS wireless Rainfall Statistic System. To be specific, it includes: rainfall data collection parts, tele-communication parts and rainfall datacenter system.We try to make the system practical, stable and reliable. On one hand we try to ensure the basic function can operate smoothly, on the other hand we have optimized the system software and hardware design.
